From the moment we spotted the hotel from the far bank of the River Dart waiting for the ferry, to the moment we left, the whole experience was first class. Great location overlooking the River Dart right next to the Higher Ferry crossing. Very friendly and attentive staff from reception to hospitality to the cleaners.
We had a deluxe balcony room with superb views across the river.
The room was decorated to a very high standard, king size bed, large screen TV, two armchairs plus another two chairs and table on the balcony along with a steamer lounger chair. The theme continues around the hotel with some lovely black and white nautical photographs of past guests and film stars.
Trendy bathroom with lots of space free standing bath and rain water shower.
The food in the restaurant was nicely presented and very tasty, I can vouch for the rib eye steak.
Plenty to do in the local area including boat trips along the River dart and the steam train ride to Paignton.
