Reasons for trip

Had a very enjoyable morning here. The gardens and water features are beautiful and the conservatory lovely. Masses of orchids and a waterfall. All the staff couldn't have done more to help us get the most from our time there. Many of the paths are paved and level. All the main gardens and water features are easy to get to with a wheel chair and there are plenty of places to sit down and look at the flowers and water.

Slightly disappointed in the view of the lake but realise that this area is a work in progress.

Would have liked there to have been a restaurant on site so we could have eaten whilst looking over the gardens. We did have an icecream, however.

The gardens are near Charlotte in North Carolina but are almost on the border with South Carolina. There is plenty of parking and a few rooms to look round as well as a small shop.
