We found this converted barn on the Internet. The photographs looked good, the write up was glowing and the location just right so we booked it over the telephone. We were two couples and the Barn had three bedrooms (handy if one of us had a row!!) Tucked away in deep rural Somerset we were glad of the aid of our sat–nav! When we finally arrived we were not disappointed, the write up was spot on. Very attractive property in a small village (one shop sold a bit of everything) The builders had done a good job on the barn, very modern renovation, two floors, bedrooms downstairs so the living room upstairs got the view of the Mendip hills. The owner,Helen who lives in an adjoining cottage made us welcome and introduced us to her two parrots There was just enough parking in the drive for our two cars. Inside was all mod and cons. So much stuff that we cursed after packing items like potatoe peelers and pepper grinders! No need to bring anything, it's already there! (even a small library) Everthing was spotless and well maintained. My only grouse was the fact there is only one toilet. Not ideal when there are four adults (but we managed) Very peaceful spot, no noise, not even from the parrots! Good location for touring North Somerset which is what we did.
