The hotel is beautifully designed and appointed, and the management and staff are welcoming and attentive.
Its location means that it is very quiet and peaceful, and there are beautiful views of the marina and towards the town of Šibenik. (Ones that you might have seen in Game of Thrones.)
There are golf buggies available to take you around the resort to the pools, bars, shopping and spa areas. The spa area is very beautiful, with 2 saunas.
Breakfast time was a leisurely 07:00 until 11:00 every day. The breakfast buffet in the Art Restaurant (included in the room rate) was fresh and plentiful, with cold meats and cheeses, fresh fruits, pastries and eggs cooked to order. There is even fresh honeycomb.
The Art Restaurant has an outside seating area, and the views are beautiful, so there are plenty of photo opportunities.
We were in a Superior Double Room with Marina view, and the room was large, light and pleasant, with a plasma TV, a balcony with a table, chairs and a lamp. There was a large bathroom with 2 handbasins and a rain shower. The bed was king-sized, with two separate quilts, an idea that I think I might adopt at home!
It is crystal clear from their website and other social media that this is a marina resort hotel, spread out over quite a large area, and that it is some distance from the town of Šibenik, itself.
It is easy to get a taxi into the town, but it really isn’t walkable, honestly! It would take you at least 45 minutes; it’s uphill and some of it is on an unmade road and across an unmanned railway line. The hotel will book you a taxi, and it will cost 50 Kuna, which is currently about £6.
In summary:
Plus points:
Lovely, welcoming, attentive staff
Attractive, large room
Beautiful views
Plentiful breakfast
Excellent free Wi-Fi
Minuses:
Restaurant lacked atmosphere
Outrageous prices for wine at dinner
Mosquitoes! (Be warned!) To be fair, the hotel did provided plug-ins, when asked.
