The recently restored tea clipper the Cutty Sark is an absolute must for visitors of all ages. We had a lovely day out last Monday 12 August. We arrive at Greenwich Pier via the Chay Blythe Thames river boat. We left Westminter pier at 10 30 and had a wonderful scenic and very funny boat ride to Greenwich. Worth every penny, don't forget your pensioners bus pass for the discount, the Cutty Sark is just minutes from the pier. We had a lovely time looking at the tea clipper in her new mooring looking for all the world as if she is sailing away to china. After the visit to the beautifully refurbished ship we ended our visit in the brand new cafe under her keel and had a tasty light lunch with a large pot of tea all for £10. The toilets are cleaned and there are plenty of them, the Greenwich Maritime Museum is just a few minutes away and is FREE. We didn't have time for more than a brief visit to the Painted Hall and The Seamens Chapel, then we caught our river boat back to Westminster. A great day out and we will certainly be going back there. The tickets for the Cutty Sark vary in price with concessions for children families and pensioner they can be ordered and printed online.
