I booked a cruise with my husband, daughter and her husband on the RCI – Liberty of the Seas in 2013 for my husband’s retirement. We picked the Caribbean as our itinerary as it always looks so lovely in the brochures and we wanted to visit several of the islands there. They were all breathtaking and the clear blue sea and white sands are just how it looks in the brochures, the sea was so hot when we went in for a swim, it was like going into a hot bath. We went on an excursion to a butterfly sanctuary which was very educational, we also took the ferry across to the Bacardi distillery in San Juan which was interesting. We had a fabulous cruise, the ship was beautiful where we booked balcony cabins which were very roomy and luxurious, we took part in a lot of the activities, my daughter and I joined a dance group, my husband and son in law the Olympics which was a good laugh, we had a fab time – did I mention the food? It was outstanding and delicious and think we all came back about 2 sizes bigger at the end of it. All in all we had a great time and would definitely recommend Royal Caribbean Cruises, they offer so much on their ships with brill entertainment and shows, delicious food, fab activities and more. We enjoyed it so much we have done a few cruises since and will be returning to cruising this autumn after a 2 year absence on the seas so can’t wait and really looking forward to it.
