We booked through Cosmos to use Tesco vouchers as part payment so good value. We flew to Lyon, were met at the airport and taken to the rivers side to join the cruise on the vessel Camargue. The cruise started in Lyon and for seven days we cruised on the Rhone and the Soane visiting Macon, Tres Vieux, Arles, Avignon, Viennes, the Camargue and Marie sur La Mer.
The guest were mostly a mix of English and French but all staff were fluent in both languages.
The package was all inclusive for soft drinks, tea coffee, table wines, local beer spirits and cocktails. The staff on board were attentive and friendly ensuring we all had a great time. The food was varied and delicious – and although I am on a Gluten Free diet the chef catered for me offering similar dishes in most cases.
At all the stops there were optional excursions providing the history and culture of the region or shopping opportunities.
Entertainment was provided in the form of daily quizzes some deck activities and a couple of evening shows.
