I booked this hotel because they run murder mystery weekends. The hotel is set in lovely grounds and quite easy to find. There is two parts to it the main building which is the old hall and more modern accommodation. I stayed in the new block, the room was clean and comfortable. The food was good, served quickly and arrived piping hot. This is just as well because I spent quite a lot of time eating and getting to know fellow sleuths.

The weekend was great fun and well organized. The actors were very convincing and the plot for the murders was complicated and fun to solve. You find that you become totally involved in solving the crime because the actors stay in character all the time and you get more bits of information, as the weekend progresses, pinned up in the incident room.

I would recommend this hotel for a visit and a Joy Swift Murder weekend ( they run in different hotels).
