My other half and myself have visited so many National Trust and English Heritage properties over the years, but I have to tell you that in my humble opinion this is the BEST.
The gardens are not the easiest to navigate on foot, especially with a small Jack Russell in tow, but they are spectacular to say the least. I can’t wait to go back in the Spring when all the Hydrangeas are in full bloom. There are so many of them.
That is the thing about Cragside. There are so many different gardens and plants to see, you cannot possibly see or appreciate them all in one day or one season.
National Trust membership for one year is good value if you can visit this place every week.
We will be back again and again to drive the six mile circular route around this property and maybe take a picnic and just soak in the wonderful creation that the Armstrong family created in this beautiful corner of Northumberland.
