Relaxation

The Cozy Cactus is in the village of Oak Creek, a few miles south of Sedona in Arizona and in a very peaceful location. We stayed in the Vortex Vista suite which is the upstairs room. It has a bedroom/lounge area with kitchenette with a very comfortable bed and best of all a balcony with fabulous views of the red rocks. We spent lots of time relaxing on the balcony taking in those gorgeous views. There are trails leading directly from the garden/patio of Cozy Cactus with paths leading up and down through the red rocks and stunning scenery.

We enjoyed having a glass of wine with the trail mix kindly left in our room and eating dinner on the balcony while we watched the sun go down and the bats fly around as it got dark. We loved to keep the curtains open so that in the morning we could see the rocks colour as the sun came up. Lovely.

The very friendly owners, Mark and Carrie, had friends staying while we were there and we enjoyed meeting them at breakfast – and what a breakfast! The breakfasts were outstanding with a fruit course, a main course as well as Mark's warm homemade muffins which are the best! Loved the 'cozy potatoes' too. All very delicious!

We loved our room, the lovely views, the friendly owners and Tequila the dog, the breakfasts and being able to walk out of the gate and straight on to the trails.

We hope to be back one day!
