Reasons for trip

Our winter break to Costa Adeje Tenerife ,Hotel , Hovmia Costa Adeje.
We booked via First Choice an Adults only all-inclusive hotel in Tenerife for a some December sunshine and husbands 70th Birthday. Weve not been here before but after doing some research chose this hotel. We flew from our local airport very early on a cold morning in December . We arrived after a four hour flight into warm sunshine and the reps on hand showed us to our coach. We were taken a short drive to the hotel where we were welcomed with a glass of local Cava. Once we found our rooms un packed there was time for a lovey lunch and an sit in the sunshine by the pool.

With the wonder of the internet having a map on hand on your iPad helps plan the day. We found the hotel was far enough from the main town but near enough to the old harbour to walk in to it along a prom walk. It was possible to walk to Los Christianos too from this level prom walk. Also from the hotel in the other direction it was possible to enjoy a further walk to a far less developed part . The local bus service was excellent for getting further along the coast too. Again once you down load a map and timetable the buss are easy to find and use.

We only booked one trip via the hotel which was for husbands birthday . The night time trip to the Troodos mountains … Sun set which a glass of Cava and Dinner was included followed by star gazing.

On husbands birthday we found a complimentary bottle of Cava in the room in an ice bucket glasses and sweets with a greeting card.

The hotel was adults only and all inclusive. Situated close to a beach it has a raised patio and pool area so you can see out and over to the sea. Its on a service road which is used by taxis coaches and local deliveries only. Out of season there were plenty of sun loungers and a good range of entertainment if you want to join in.

Aqua aerobics were popular. Even ing s the show commenced late which would be fine in summer but winter seemed a little too late . In winter they use the inside stage but summer time we were told they use an outdoor stage. The food was varied and much was prepared in view and fresh. Local food and roast beef appeared on the same menu. Outside seating and inside is available. The hotel has had a major face lift and renovation. Its bright and modern rooms are rather like a premier inn nothing fancy but spotlessly clean fresh and nice small balcony with a sea view sideways. We wouldn’t pay for an upgraded room there seemed little benefit in doing so.

Would we go again .. we did in March.
