We stayed here on a last minute booking at booking.com which made it as affordable as a small B&B. We had a compact double room which was VERY compact but ok for us. Room was clean except for one small drop of blood stain on the carpet. The previous occupant had left a small foil strip of tablets in the chocolate and snacks basket that the cleaner had missed which we took to reception.

The young man on reception was very friendly and helpful during our stay and suggested places to go etc.

The hotel bar area was old fashioned with a bit of a cold feel to it (don’t think there were carpets).

The breakfast had a good range of food laid out, much better than the usual b&bs we usually stay at, the menu for the main breakfast had a good choice too, I had eggs Benedict for the first time which was gorgeous.

We would definitely go back again if booked through a late room provider as the full price is slightly over our budget.
