Corner Cottage, Appledore is situated immediately above the mouth of the River Torridge in one of the most picturesq villages of North Devon. It can accommodate four people but we thought that that number might have been a bit crowded. The sitting room/kitchen is on the upper floor and has a view across the estuary that is truly magnificent. Two rivers meet in the estuary and the rising hills of Exmoor on the opposite side make for a most magical view of Devon at its best. We wished we'd stayed longer and will certainly be going back again sometime. The cottage can be booked through Marsdens Holiday Cottages in Bideford.
