I recently took a two day visit to Cordoba while staying in Mojacar, Spain. The city is full of fantastic sights and history including the Mesquita and palaces. I stayed in the heart of the city about 15 minutes walk from the attractions and superb cafes and restaurants. It was a four hour drive from Mojacar but brilliant dual carriageway most of the journey with lots of services and towns for refreshments en route. I stayed at the hotel Macia Alfaros, which advertised excellent rooms for around 50 euros per night. Breakfast was extra as was car parking. However, public car parking was expensive and so I valued the secure hotel parking. The most important aspect for the hotel is that I was able to use air miles rewards from my other travels, meaning that I got rooms free. You can use a range of air miles for a good range of hotels both in Cordoba and Seville, where I plan to visit next year. I have noticed that you can also use air miles for excursions by train to Seville. All round a fantastic city to visit.
