Reasons for trip

We found cheap flights from Edinburgh to Copenhagen so decided to go. Unfortunately that was the only cheap thing about the 4 days, but, it was an experience and we are very glad we went. We stayed at an AirBnB just to the NW of the city, about 25 min by train. It was lovely but doing the train trip every day in and out became a bit boring. If we went again we would spend that little more on accom in the city itself. Copenhagen itself was a bit of a disappointment as its not very different – it is however nice and clean, everybody was exceptionally friendly and helpful, all spoke english, all very relaxed and laid back, felt very safe everywhere, everything ran and worked well. We especially liked using the bikes to get around – as its so flat even us oldies coped well. Even though we went in peak holiday season it wasn’t busy and surprisingly not many children about so not noisy either. We went over on the train one day to Malmo in Sweden, was a much smaller city but a lovely combination of old and new, way more interesting and a good bit cheaper as the ex rate was better. Not sure we would go back to Copenhagen but definitely would go back to Denmark so see more. A wonderful city though for older travellers.
