Reasons for trip

Colmans is situated virtually on the beach, South Shields. Their fish and chips are amazing. They also sell wonderful lobster dishes, mussels, oysters, etc., etc. You have to book as the restaurant is always full in the evening. They also have a takeaway fish and chips underneath the restaurant. This restaurant has beautiful views of the sea as it is elevated. There is a lift. Sandhaven beach is in full view, also the surf school. It is situated just at the end of the Great North Run.
