As a family, scattered across England and Wales, we are in agreement that this restuarant is taste of home for us, and a treat for any visiting relatives and friends.
The staff here have always been very welcoming and friendly, with a personal touch.
For a disabled elderly relative, who is a fairly regular customer, there is a genuine welcome.
The meals are tasty, there is a good selection. As a fish restaurant there is a board which details which boats caught the fish and in which area, and any unusual special fish available. The potato variety used that day is also written on a board, this was of great interest to us, a family of gardeners. Vegetarian options are available, on weekdays there is a special small meal option mainly for the older customer. Steamed fish available for a healthier option every day.
They also have a takeaway shop next door, great for eating in the fresh air on the nearby beach (or in the car in cold weather).
A new restaurant had been developed in an old bandstand overlooking the sea. Great food in a beautiful area. What’s not to like? We love it.
There are many photographs of famous people with the staff on the wall. A testament to the restaurant.
