Colchester Zoo

With the unfortunate news today of another fire at a zoo/safari park I felt compelled to write a review for my local zoo in Colchester, they also had a fire in 2016 I think but luckily it was only a train and station that was destroyed and no animals were injured. We are card holders and is such good value for money as its always a fun day out. Plenty of animals to see and they are always redoing parts of the zoo to enhance for both animals and visitors. Lots of animal talks and displays to look out for, indoor areas when weather isn’t great. Nature reserve, train rides inc walk through lemur exhibit, lots of play areas, indoor play area and sensory station near farm animals. Plenty of cafes/restaurants but to save money take your own as plenty of picnic areas, if you go to picnic area near otters exhibit you will often see them playing, they are one of my personal favourites. Always a lovely day out and we are lucky enough as we live nearby we can enjoy anytime.
