This is the hotel arranged for an overnight stop when travelling on The Rocky Mountaineer train – the only way to travel! The rooms are lovely and comfy with tea and coffee making facilities, microwave and fridge. There are 2 big double beds so you can choose to snuggle up or have one each. All the toiletries you might need are provided making it even easier to just arrive and relax. The central Atrium area adds to the feeling of relaxation with Jacuzzi, pool and lots of plants around.

Romeo’s restaurant is part of the hotel so as a guest there was 15% off a meal plus it was “½ wine Wednesday” so half a carafe was only 10 Canadian $. More than ample portions and excellent service – the waiter agreed that three appetisers would be a good choice between the two of us, so altogether it was only 39$ plus a 10$ tip. We had a really lovely overnight stay here before continuing on the luxurious Rocky Mountaineer for one more day to our final stop in Vancouver.

Titan Tours: Trans Canadian Rail Odyssey – 14 days Toronto to Vancouver (around £4000 each plus spending). See full report for more details about the trip.
