We visit Clowance most years because it's in such a good location in Cornwall, being in close proximity to both the north and south coasts of Cornwall, yet being in a tucked away peaceful location. Clowance estate has the most gorgeous grounds, the highlight for us being the lake which is lovely to walk around and even borrow one of the boats there to row across. The accommodation varies between wooden lodges, which are set in woodland, golf lodges, right next to the golf course, and the coach house, which is my favourite, being quaint and very cosy. it was here that we stayed the last time we visited. Our apartment in the coach house overlooked the lake, so was a fantastic view, and lovely to wake up to such fabulous scenery. It was very well equipped. We cooked our own breakfasts and evening meals, choosing to eat out at lunchtime, wherever we were visiting. The dishwasher helped with the washing up! The bed was very comfortable, and there was lots of hanging and storage space for clothes. Everything was clean and well maintained. The swimming pool was a favourite pastime in the evening, after a day out exploring. It had a sauna and jacuzzi too for you to relax in. You could feel yourself winding down so nicely! If you didn't feel like cooking, there was a restaurant in the clubhouse, which seemed good value for money. Dogs, unfortunately weren't allowed on the estate, but we found the local kennels that were recommended by Clowance, were good, and being just up the road, were very convenient . We always enjoy our holidays at this resort, and will be returning soon.
