A 18th century tourist attraction recently restored on the western shores of Lake Windermere offering lovely viewpoints over the lake. Also well signed walking paths up to Far & Near Sawrey and Hill Top ( Beatrix Potter fame) accessible via Hawkshead ferry as a foot passenger or taking your car across the lake and parking at a National Trust carpark nearby.
