This viewpoint over the River Dordogne is mentioned in the guide books and is rated 1* by Michelin with the descripti on "there is a splendid view of theis meander in the river…encircling the tursac peninsula".

The viewpoint is along D703 between Montfort and Carsac. There is a small signed layby off the road with no advance warning so it is very easy to miss, especially if the road is busy (and nowhere to turn round if you have missed it…)

We felt the views across the Dordogne River from here were definitely over rated and partially obscured by trees in full leaf. There are better elsewhere.

Don't bother with this one.
