Situated between Praça Dom Pedro IV and Rossio station Ciao Milano is one of a street full of restaurants where the menu waving staff tout for business to the passing clientele. The menu is a combination of Portuguese and Italian, serving seafood, grill, pasta and pizza. We found the staff very pleasant and provided good attentive service, in pleasant surroundings. There is outside seating available but as it was a little chilly we chose to eat inside.
We ate here on two occasions and both times we found the dishes tasty, well prepared and presented. There were some nice wines and the one we chose (see picture) was very pleasant and reasonably priced. Desserts were a bit of a disappointment, being brought in pre packaged and many of them weren’t available. Having said that the meal was filling enough that we didn’t really need desert. The bill was accompanied by a complimentary liquor. On the first night a very nice tawny port and on the second Ginja, a local cherry liquor (instantly addicted).
Nice restaurant, would recommend a visit.
