We recently stayed here for a couple of days on a ‘special offer’ in celebration of my birthday.
Not a very easy place to find, but when you do arrive it is set against the backdrop of the spectacular harbour.
There appears to be ample car parking space, but could prove a ‘little tight’ if the place is fully booked.
Our ‘inner’ room was on the second floor with a partial view of the harbour and part of the hotel complex.
Wonderful room – clean and light with a large, high bed and well equipped with tea and coffee facilities (proper coffee maker), television, wi-fi, ironing facilities and even complimentary gin and sherry!
The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a jovial, Spanish waiter who was delightful to talk to. The menus are created by Chef Patron Alex Aitken, of Michelin star success.
Mudeford Quay is worth walking to, just a five minute walk from the hotel, and is a great spot for crabbing or just strolling along and enjoying the panoramic views – including the Isle of Wight Needles in the distance.
I would certainly go back as it is a lovely area with much to see as well as a comfortable place to stay.
