Reasons for trip

This is probably the biggest and the best of the out of town discount retail parks. It is huge with more than 145 shops with all the familiar names and many more. The shops are arranged around a central car park and there is everything you could possibly want and more! There are also a lot of eateries too.

It was very busy when I visited and the Outlet recommends you visit before 11am or after 4pm when it is quieter. On an early afternoon on a Monday in August, people were even queuing to get into some of the shops. Many were advertising substantial discounts, although the ice cream stall was very expensive at £4.95 for a single scoop.

This is definitely the place for the shopaholic and merits 5*. If, like me, you don’t enjoy shopping then it can seem like purgatory and just 1*…

I had two hours there as a stop on a coach trip to North Wales. It would not have been my choice.
