Charleston Farm House home to Vanessa Bell & Duncan Grant of the Bloomsbury set and site of great Bloomsbury parties just before and after the 2nd World War. A beautiful cottage decorated with wonderful artistic flair – artworks everywhere, furniture / fireplaces etc painted in the quirky Bloomsbury style that stood out so dramatically from sombre Victorian style that was their contemporary art scene. Lovely country garden style garden is worth a visit alone. Visit if you get the chance.
