My “last”:https://www.silvertraveladvisor.com/review/attraction/203757-review-central-park review was written in May.

It is now September and schools are back. The ice cream van is no longer in the car park and the children’s play area is deserted. The park has been reclaimed by the dog walkers and those like myself who enjoy walking in it.

The fountain has been turned on again and provides a focal point to the park. This is always turned off for the winter months but never got turned on again this spring.

Autumn is coming early this year and already many of the trees are beginning to change colour. If the amount of haws on the hawthorn are anything to go by, it will be a hard winter,.

If you know where to look there are field mushrooms and I found a clump of the wonderfully named shaggy parasol fungi.
