From the moment we arrived at the Castelli Hotel we knew that we would have a very good holiday. We were greeted warmly by Spiros and his Daughter Maria and after a chat over a drink we were shown to our very spacious room. Spiros is very proud of his hotel which is very clean and well maintained and deserving of the gold medal awards that it has received regularly over the years.
Our large room had plenty of hanging and drawer space, double bed, bedside units with drawers, TV, dressing table with chair and several comfy chairs; the fridge and air conditioning were available at an extra charge. The ensuite was adequate with a shaower that never ran out of hot water; a number of toiletries were provided. We had a ground floor room with a good sized balcony with clothes drier, table and chairs. First and second floor rooms are smaller but have a larger balcony. The pool is the cleanest that we've had and there were more than enough sun beds, even with the usual morning towel laying antics. The pool bar had a very good selection of drinks and food.
Breakfast is continental in style and we found it to be very adequate.
All members of family and staff spoke good to very good English and all gave a friendly efficient service.
The hotel is located about a five minute walk from the southwest end of Lagana beach on the road to Aghios Sostis. It is in a quiet location but within easy reach of the local attractions.
There are numerous places to eat within a 10 minute walk of the hotel. Our favourite was El Greccos, left out of the hotel, first left then follow the signs.
