Travelled around Cuba on Mi Casa Tu Casa tour. Started in Havana with a Casa right in the middle of Old Havana . Wonderful ol world apartment decorated like a Frieda Karlo painting. En suite bathroom, very clean and friendly informative host. Beautiful breakfast with plate of fresh fruits , omelette made to order, bread, strong coffee, and fresh gauva juice. We had dinner there too fresh fish and vegetables- delicious!
On to Viñales, another Casa ,this time very modern with a wonderful roof terrace overlooking the valley. Another fresh breakfast as in Havana ,language tricky but we managed.
Third Casa in Trinidad a beautiful 200yr old house with exotic terraced garden with hummingbirds and lizards. Plenty of places for a quiet drink . Slightly worn out look but very clean and it’s an old building so forgiveable.
Cannot recommend Casa highly enough for an insight to Cuban life and originality.
We ended out trip with 3 nights in Varadero. It was like leaping forward 100 years and if not for the beach would not recommend.
