I stayed in this wonderful villa in August 2017 with my son and his family. It is the most beautiful holiday villa I have ever stayed in. Right on a hill with stunning views, the nearest village is Archez which is 3 kilometres away. I had flown into Malaga airport and my son picked me up. It was about an hours drive away and once we left the motorway, it was a winding climbing path which ended with a steep zig zag drive to the villa (you certainly need to be good at clutch control at that gradient!),
Recovering from the hair raising journey was made easier by the sight of this lovely house with bougainvillea all around it. It has 4 double bedrooms, all with en suite, a living room with an attached dining area. a fully equipped kitchen with another dining area attached (this one had glass windows that could be folded back so you could either dine al fresco or close the windows and be inside but still have panoramic views). There was also a laundry room, an office and even a gym! Outside there is a pool area (with another outside dining table) and enough loungers for 8 people. There is also a barbecue and yet another outside dining table up by the driveway. Towels and linen were supplied as well as beach towels. There are at least 4 TV’s around the house and ceiling fans in all the bedrooms.
Four couples could stay here and rarely see each other!
There are a couple of nearby restaurants “El Curro” (supposedly the best steaks in the area), “Bar Avenido” and “Bar La Extremena” but we didn;t try any of these. We did however drive to the nearby town of Competa and have a lovely dinner in “El Pilon” which was a restaurant very popular with the British but with an extensive Spanish menu.
If you can drag yourself away from this lovely villa you could visit Malaga for culture and shopping or Nerja where the Nerja Caves are one of Spain’s biggest tourist attractions.
I really couldn’t recommend this Villa more highly and we had a fabulous week there.
