Climbing to the top of Carn Brae, on the outside of Redruth in Cornwall was exhilarating. It wasn't much on a climb on foot to be honest as a single track road takes you almost to the top of the hill which has spectacular views over central Cornwall to the sea beyond.
Carn Brea is an ancient settlement, but also houses a victorian monument which can be seen from miles around.
