In 1991 we stayed at Capistrano Play with our children and had a great holiday. We returned in June 2018 with our grandson. The Complex hasn’t changed at all but I think many of the apartments have been modernised. We had a 2 bedroom apartment with a large lounge/kitchen a full bathroom and a shower room. Outside we had a south facing terrace and a small garden area. We had good WiFi and a TV with UK channels. The complex has a swimming pool and a paddling pool for infants with a bar for residents and guests. There is a secure gate access to Burriana Beach with all the bars, restaurants and cafe’s. The centre of Nerja is about 15 to 20 minutes walk from the complex. We really enjoyed our second stay at Capistrano Playa. If you can manage the steps in the complex and down to the beach it is a good quiet secure complex. There is a lift which serves the lower half of the complex. From our apartment there were 150 steps to the beach through nice gardens with waterfalls so not suitable for people with mobility problems. I will be 69 this year and managed the steps twice each day usually carrying a pushchair, it certainly kept us all fit! We didn’t hire a car and used a taxi to get to and from Malaga airport. The nearest large supermarket is about a 15 minute walk from the complex although there is a town bus service which passes the large supermarket. There is a small supermarket at Burriana Beach for essentials but remember you have to climb those steps from the beach to get back to your apartment.
