During our stay in Calgary at the beginning of January, with deep snow on the ground and temperatures of -10 degrees, we went out in the evening to visit the zoo! Anyone might think we were completely mad!
However, we didn’t go to see the animals (they were all inside asleep anyway!) We went to see the Zoolights display that has become an annual event and attraction for both Calgarians and visitors to the city. And we could see why it was so popular!
The photos I’ll attach will show better than I can explain, but we spent an hour wandering around and admiring the show. We did need to stop for hot chocolate on the way, but that didn’t deter us, neither did the low temperatures. The lights were amazing!
All-in-all, an unusual and unique (as far as I know) experience!
