Reasons for trip

This café /restaurant is just south of Drumnadrochit on the A82. A convenient stop for travellers and a good eating place for tourists staying in local accommodation.

I was driving north with the intention of turning off the main road, trying to think where to make our first stop of the day. The attractive café came into sight and, having never visited before, I turned right into their car park.

The decor inside appeared quirky as were warmly greeted. A good selection of baking (including cake) was on display and cooked food was on the menu. Table service- I love table service and we were soon asked if we were ready to order. Nice filter coffee (you could choose other coffees) and a shared cake. We also had a carafe of water.

A friendly chat with the staff and we were ready to continue our journey.

We stopped again on our journey south a week later. On the second visit, the café was busy and we were happy to sit outside in the sunshine. This time we ordered and paid at the counter with our food being brought out to us. Service was friendly and good despite being busy.

The café has a large car park and is accessible. Average pricing.
