This is a smashing modern hotel, up a small alleyway from the Canale di Cannaregio in the Jewish Ghetto. It is very inexpensive (which most hotels in Venice are not) yet has nice big rooms, great breakfast and good A/C (essential in summer).
Cannaregio is full of good value restaurants used by locals and is empty compared with the crowded and touristy San Marco.
