Relaxation

Hubby & I very recently returned from a self catering break to Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands. We booked these apartments after checking a number of review sites and being pleasantly surprised to see a high percentage of positive reviews.

We were delighted with the apartments for the price. We paid less than £150 for the apartment for a week long stay and therefore had relatively low expectations based on the price.

How wrong we were! The apartments were excellently located, just one road back from the beach. They were clean and tidy and the cleaning service came in 5 days out of 7.

The facilities in the apartments were good. A double hob and microwave were available for self catering and there were sufficient pots, pans, plates, glasses, etc.

A very short walk (possibly 300 metres) took us from the apartments to the nearest shopping centre which had a supermarket and a selection of gift shops, a chemist and a number of bars and restaurants although it's worth pointing out that we could not hear any noise from the bars and restaurants when in the apartment complex.

My only small criticisms were that as with many holiday apartments the walls are thin and it is easy to overhear neighbours and that the beds were creaky so turning over in the night couldn't be done quietly 🙂

The apartments are in a flat area. There are one or two steps actually into each apartment so wheelchair users may not find them fully suitable, but anyone with reduced mobility but able to walk a few steps would be fine.

The paved area along the sea front is lovely but again there are a few slopes that are quite steep so wheelchair users would find these difficult to manage.

The resort is on the flightpath into the airport so low flying aircraft do pass overhead frequently. This sounds like a problem but is actually a very minor irritant. We were not disturbed by the planes at all and in fact turned it into a game to see which airlines we could spot.

Overall these apartments are a bargain for anyone wanting a cheap holiday in good quality basic accomodation and I would happily recommend them.
