I have been doing this walk regularly over the last year and recording the changes. I am now nearly full cycle since my first review last May.
The trees are all coming into leaf and the ground vegetation is looking really lush now. Best of all, the bluebells are in flower. These are the ‘proper’ English ones and not the dreaded Spanish imports – a sign of old woodland.
The wood anemones and lesser celandine are still in flower and clumps of violets can be seen along the paths.
There is a strong smell of garlic, although no sign of flowers yet.
