BA Glasgow-Napoli via Gatwick … departed Glasgow and arrived Gatwick on time … then onto air bridge, downstairs onto apron , onto bus … upstairs (four flights with no obvious lift/escalator) and thru exit – no transit option (same as recent flight to Nice via Gatwick) … so had to go to departures again and go thru security, despite having done so in Glasgow and being in possession of our onward boarding passes.
Tried hot meal option in Gatwick (Nandos – see separate review) as next flight not ’till 1430 and knowing we’d have to pay on the BA flight in any case …
LGW-Napoli flight departed and landed on time.
Good value for money as subsidised by our remaining BA-Avios points.
Having commented recently about BA having become a ‘no-frills’ airline, read in the newspaper that, next year, BA will be moving to 29-inch legroom (as against EasyJet 30-inch). So, although BA do still include a hold bag (and some flights offer ‘hand baggage only’ prices) they really are moving to the EasyJet/Ryanair model?
