If you want a clean, comfortable bed in central Manchester, then you cannot go wrong with this hotel. For only £29, we had a twin room with en-suite and tea tray and free Wi-Fi was available if we needed it.
Not planning to spend time at the hotel, we were not worried that there was no window in our 5th floor room. Instead, there was a large skylight with a blind to keep out the sun. In fact, being in central Manchester, it was probably the quietest option and we certainly slept very well.
The hotel is just off Piccadilly Gardens, close to the shopping centre, several metro link stops and a bus station, and only a five minute stroll from the main railway station.
We arrived at 8pm and the one thing wrong with the area was the lack of reasonable places to eat. In the end we paid rather a lot for a steak at Malmaison, but this is clearly a shopping rather than eating location and we will know for next time. The hotel does have its own restaurants and even a swimming pool, so the facilities are really good.
