I returned to Brimham Rocks after more years than I want to remember and it was just a wonderful as I remember it. For those who Do not know the site it is a moorland landscape dominated by wind sculptured rock formations which is owned and protected by the National Trust. Over millennium a grit stone outcrop has bee worn by water and wind into dozens of balancing rocks shapes which make seem to defy gravity and disorientate the mind. Brimham Rocks is ideal for all ages and abilities with children being able to scramble over rocks and explore caves and hideaways. The more athletic amongst us can indulge their love of rock climbing or enjoy long walks through the unspoilt heath land. The paths on the site are being upgraded at the moment and when they are finished they should be suitable for wheel chair users. This breath-taking site and all it offers is yours to travel through for the price of the parking ticket.
