We took a day trip to Brighton by train from Worthing, which takes about 20 minutes. For most of the time we explored the Lanes, the narrow streets full of colour and quirky shops. It was there that we took lots of photos of imaginative street art. We also found a small cafe for a sit down with tea and cakes.
For a breath of fresh air, we strolled around the Marina looking at the different types of yachts in their moorings. The most iconic building of course is the Royal Pavilion, which was partially obscured by scaffolding while we were there. This unique building houses a magnificent display of art and furniture.
Then we met up for an evening meal with the younger members of the family to hear of their kayaking and fishing exploits, before heading back on the train.
