This is a Georgian-style Grade II listed building though most of the rooms, and the one we stayed in, are in an addition at the side/back of the building. Our room was clean and comfortable and provided us with a good location for some local touring by foot and bus. The hotel, a Good Night Inns establishment, is within walking distance of the centre of Rotherham and on a bus route. Recent online comments lead me to believe it may be in need of some refurbishment.

We chose this hotel because my aunt had stayed there a few years previously and remembered it as being good value for money and in a good location. We had a bed and breakfast booking so had breakfast in the hotel restaurant which is a Flaming Grill Pub. We also ate in the hotel both nights and were happy with our food. When we were there the pub had 2-for-1 specials on every night so we were able to have good food at a good price. We stuck to the basics of roasts and lamb or pork chops but there is a lot to choose from on the menu.
