Reasons for trip

Regular holiday

Just wanted to share an observation. We were on the Tall Ships and Cultural Trips on Fred Olsen, Braemar in July. We normally holiday in Spring or Autumn as most places are less crowded. However, on this occasion we were really keen to see the tall ships and some of the ports of call were new to us.

We did enjoy all of it but the cruise was very different, to start there were 29 children on board, it never seemed that many all were well behaved and the parents worked hard to make sure they had a good time. We usually do not see any children travelling early nor late. Young children meant younger couples, quite refreshing but a very different atmosphere. We had late sitting for the evening meal and most children had obviously already dined.
Our thanks go out to the responsible parents on our cruise for I must admit, despite having children grandchildren and gt grandchildren, we were somewhat anxious when we heard about the number of children but really had no need to worry at all.
