Reasons for trip

My friends and I decided to have lunch at the Highcliff Marriott Hotel in the Brasserie Blanc Restaurant.

The staff were wonderful from the moment we arrived. Someone spotted that my husband, who has Alzheimer’s disease was having difficulty getting out of the car, so they came straight out and asked if we needed a wheelchair. He didn’t but it was so kind and attentive of them to ask.

All the waiting staff were aware of my husband’s difficulties and went out of their way to make him feel at ease and gave him plenty of time to finish his meal. They laughed and joked with us and made the whole experience wonderful as I find, on many occasions, that I get very stressed when people don’t understand the situation.

After the meal we decided to have coffee in the lounge and one of the waiter’s jokingly asked ‘are you still here?’. We had spent quite a few hours there but that wasn’t frowned upon at all.

There were all ages eating in the restaurant, from our party, to those older than us and right down to a baby in a pram.

The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and shall be making a return visit as soon as possible.
