Having said two years ago that I wouldn’t do another Fred Olsen cruise, I was seduced by a ‘no single supplement offer’ and tried again on Boudicca.I went on the islands of the Indian Ocean cruise flying to Sri Lanka and back from Mauritius. Overnight flight with Thomas COok charter. I paid extra for Premium but did not feel it worth it. Seats reclined 6” instead of 2” but was busy whereas economy was fairly empty and plenty of room to stretch out. Luck of the draw! Better to fly independently I feel.

Cruise visited interesting places but often docked at container ports. Good and varied tours but fairly expensive. Very friendly for solo Cruisers and Loved the dance lessons with hosts.

Food was excellent with many healthy vegetarian choices.

I paid extra for quiet junior suite and wasn’t disappointed.

High swell in the ocean which meant we changed course to Madagascar rather than Praslin Island but was a real thrill Of discovery.

It wasn’t perfect but I really enjoyed it and would consider another cruise at some point.
