Had a very pleasant meal in this restaurant in the ‘village’ of Southsea, Portsmouth. We were visiting long-time friends and it was good to be able to walk to a pleasant eating house.
The restaurant has clearly had a quality ‘refit’ and offers a very pleasant atmosphere.
We (as is usual nowadays) settled for the papadom starter, to keep room for the mains that included a (mild) Jalfiezi; a Bhuna, a Dansak and another Jalfrezi – along with vegetable curry and saag aloo sides.
Our friends brought a bottle of red wine which the restaurant was happy to open for us, with no ‘corkage’ charge.
All in all a very pleasant evening at a very reasonable cost. The price below doesn’t include wine nor ‘pudding’.
