Beautiful gardens – in Autumn splendour. Mountains and fine house provide dramatic backdrop. Well worth a visit. Booking pretty straightforward and entry easy with smiling staff member in car park.
However – signage very poor on footpaths and generally non-existent. This is especially important for ambulant disabled. Using a mobility scooter proved problematic especially as there was a one-way system in place and no indication of recommended routes. It was guesswork.
A lovely day spoilt by an anxious hour trying to get out whilst having to push up some sections as the battery was dying. Better signage and route orientation would have helped us to avoid this.
