I have chosen the below image of Blyth Beach because it inspires me so much.
The beach was so dirty and polluted, it was almost a no go area, and not a pleasant experience at all.
However, following a massive clean up project and injection of cash into the area, it has been transformed.
It is now beautifully clean, with a touch of the wild, in it’s dunes and miles of sand.
Behind the beach is a well organised play area, which is much used and loved.
There are several colourful beach huts available for hire.
A well looked after toilet area, with cafe and shops have also sprung up.
Added to all of this, is a large takeaway or sit in fish and chip / ice cream restaurant, which sells the best fish and chips in the area.
We all enjoy this beach now, and appreciate it enormously.
