I wasn’t sure that Bletchley was a good day out for me but my husband was keen and it was an opportunity to visit a nearby relative for an overnight stay.
We ended up, at my suggestion, returning the following morning before making our way back home. Its a place that has something interesting for all ages, male or female.
Old motorbikes and cars, an opportunity to sit and watch various extremely interesting films about the purpose of Bletchley in the last war. Spying…secret codes….largest computer in the world… lovely mansion house with incredibly beautiful rooms and ceilings… a coffee shop plus a very satisfying restaurant with a menu giving a choice of hot or cold meals. Lots of places to sit down if there are any mobility problems, toilets in many areas, lots of car parking. We need to return and our ticket lasts for a whole 12 months – so we’ll be back to see, again, all the things we loved plus all the things we didn’t get enough time to see!
