Reasons for trip

There are two of these cafes in London, Ontario and I have tried both of them and can’t fault either one. The first one I visited is in Wortley Village, touted as the best village in Canada. It is a neighbourhood in the older part of London and well worth a visit to wander the main street boutiques as well as eateries. This café is on a corner across from the hardware shop. It is small with two rooms and a counter where you order and pay for your food. The second one is in the north end of downtown on Richmond Row, is bigger, and has a faster pace evident in the atmosphere. It is one large room which may be what makes it seem a bit noisier. In both cases, a member of staff is sure to shout out a welcome to any customer who enters.

They serve an array of baked goods as well as soups, sandwiches, frittatas (gluten-free quiche essentially) and quiches along with hot and cold drinks. The coffee beans are roasted on site and the baked goods are baked fresh on site. When I’ve been in I’ve tried quiches and frittatas with Greek orzo salad which comes with a drink and two cookies. My choice is usually a latte and ginger cookies. Good food in a friendly atmosphere.
